Folded items and booklets are not accepted by Royal Mail as open-end items. They either have to be inserted into an envelope or sealed at the open end.

Open Ended Folded Items

Tabbing provides a way of sealing the open end of a printed folded item or booklet with a 'tab' enabling the item to be processed through Royal Mail.

This is a cost effective way of producing a mailing without the expense of a printed envelope and insertion charges. In addition, the tabbing ensures that the items can be process by Royal Mail without having to pay additional postage surcharges.

Single or Multiple Tabs
