Mail Personalisation

Research has shown that during marketing campaigns, customer response rates are signficantly higher when the materials have been personalised in some way towards the recipient.

Direct Mail stands apart from door to door distribution as a more successful marketing method, due to the fact that the items include the address, and often the name of a member of the household.

A personalised mailing can be achieved in a number of ways.

Addressing

From one letter to one million+ letters, these can be addressed individually by one of our high-speed inkjet or laser addressing lines. We can address, barcode and include any variable data such as photographs, telephone numbers or names onto single items.

The simplest way to personalise a mailing is to include the name and address of the recipient on either the envelope, single item, folded item or booklet.

Addressing onto an item

If the contents of each envelope includes a covering letter or similarly personalised item, then it is more efficient to print the address directly onto the item and insert it into a windowed envelope.

The item is addressed and folded in such a way as to ensure that the address appears clearly within the confinds of the window. There are strict guidelines as to the position of the address within a window and Low Cost Mailing are accredited for OCR and CBC by Royal Mail, ensuring that their standards are met for all mailings.

Addressing onto Envelope

Typically, your contents to be mailed are inserted into a plain envelope (without window). Using one of our high speed addressing lines, each item then has a name and address (in some cases, simply an address) printed onto the envelope. The address may be printed using either an inkjet system or a laser printer.

Variable Data

Personalised mail is an enhanced direct mail service that offers the functionality of direct mail but allows mail to be tailored to recipients' characteristics. The personalisation goes beyond the inclusion of names and addresses by making whole documents variable - so that the level of personalisation is infinite. By using client data, personalised mail controls the images, style and textual content of documents.
